SHOP NEWSY, UPDATE!

Happy Spring ya’ll. Hope you’re seeing the beginnings of the new season in your neck the woods. That image you’re looking at is my new logo for my shop! How do you like it? It’s a play on my last name, along with my brand philosophy to mend the world through whole plant-based nutrition and cruelty-free products. I included the retail therapy because I consider shopping, well…therapy! I’m taking all the stress out by offering only vegan products, which means no more reading labels folks.
Ironically, I registered MendRT way back before launching a vegan boot company was even a thought. It has always been a dream of mine to open a shop or boutique, so to see this all unfold is quite surreal. I hope that you will visit and help my effort to spread the message that animals should not suffer for high-end fashion.
Here’s the low down on the shop:
Location – 1130 Dragon Ste 240C, Dallas, Texas 75207
We are located in the heart of the Dallas Design District. Our building is easy to get to and has ample street parking. The shop is located on the second floor, with access via stairs or elevator.
Hours – Initially, the shop will be open limited hours.
Saturday 12-6
Sunday 1 -5

I will also be available by appointment only for boot fittings and design assistance. Appointments can be made at kat@katmendenhall.com.
Products – In addition to my line of custom handmade boots (Note: Because the boots are custom, we do not carry stock but may have a limited selection available) and non-leather accessories like belts and jewelry, I’ll have new wallets, two styles of bags, and a t-shirt design with a strong message.
Other vegan products will include bath and body care, eco-friendly candles, custom pillows made from recycled plastic bottles, exclusive jewelry pieces, vegan hats, and beautiful water-colored cards.
The inventory will continue to expand to include high-end fashion for the body and home. All our products are 100% vegan, local when possible, sourced from USA companies, and not intentionally, but so far all women owned businesses.
I’m also using the space to host vegan events like the upcoming Texas Vegan Tour with Rowdy Girl Sanctuary’s Renee King-Sonnen and her guest Jane Velez-Mitchell. If you’re in Dallas and want to get a sneak peek of the shop, you can check out the event details and register here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1814811432175228/.

My purpose for the shop is to change our cultural mindset. By providing an alternative to animal products, I’m giving people an option to choose consciously over cruelty without sacrificing luxury.
Save the date, the shop will be open for regular business starting Saturday, April 8th.
Thank you in advance for your love and support.
With much gratitude.
Kat
